El Smart Downloader ha dejado de ser gratis

Desde ayer, el Smart Downloader de Hypertrader, que permitía obtener gratuita y automáticamente cotizaciones para Metastock del servidor de Yahoo!, ha dejado de funcionar. Al ejecutarlo, se obtiene un mensaje de "Demo period expired" (el programa no es una demo, sino freeware). Eso mismo ya ocurrió una vez hace no sé cuántos meses, y se solucionó. Hypertrader alegó que se debía a un error, aunque más bien parece que habían pensado dejar de ofrecerlo gratuitamente y luego se echaron atrás.
Esta vez parece que la cosa va en serio. He consultado al Soporte de Hypertrader y esta es la respuesta que he obtenido:

Dear Mr. Lozano,

Smart Downloader is not longer available as free tool and for that reason cannot be activated

By Smart Downloader you will be able to collect directly from Yahoo
server the historical data provided into MetaStock data format.
The software is full integrated into Equis Downloader, you need only to
create MetaStock symbol list with Yahoo tickers and execute the Download
history from The Downloader, in few minutes you will be able to collect all
available historical data and day by day to update it.

The software cost Eur 25 including

2. Unlimited Email Support
3. Minor version updates.

Personalmente, me paso al MLDownloader (http://www.trading-tools.com/), que ofrece algunas características adicionales, como la de poderse programar para descargar los datos automáticamente, y cuesta 59,95€ (sin más gastos, porque los datos se descargan gratuitamente).
